Look at me, I'm the first to comment. This is a very exciting blog for me, as you are my knitting guru and all. The spread is absolutely stunning. It's almost hard for me to believe it was made by two actual hands. If I hadn't seen you knitting it, I might suspect that you'd employed elves and a machine. I had a crochet afghan that grew out of my control, but so much less intricate than yours! It's beautiful! The shawl is amazing as well....very nice! Have a good stay in NY. Not sure what part you'll be in, but if you're in Manhattan my favorite restaurant is Dinastia China, it's on 72nd bet Colobums & Amsterdam, on the north side of the street. Spanish/Chinese food! And there's a yarn store pretty close called The Yarn Company. I thnk it's on 81st on the west side as well. Have a great time! Your work is amazing! The blog looks good, and the blanket is--super! Super-sized, super-wonderful. I know they're going to love it! I've been wanting to do some dyeing but have to work my way through some of my stash yarns first. I did find a great place to get the Collinette kits, online, through ebay, and except for one or two (I'm on my 9th right now) I didn't pay over $100. The other were in the $125. range, and of course I have leftovers--enough to make a couple more, I think, when it cools down enough to have all that fluff on my lap! Way to go, Kathy!
